These (mostly unfinished) Mona Lisa collages were made by a group of grade 5 & 6 students at the end of last year. I gave each student a blank colouring-in page of the Mona Lisa and students then glued layers of torn or cut pieces of coloured paper and magazines to complete their own version of the famous painting.
Beautiful! I love the various expressions! This project would also be good with a painting by Gaugin, I think (one of his Tahitian portraits)...I may need to try it! If not with my students then by myself! Thanks for sharing! Mrs. P (www.createartwithme.blogspot.com)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful and each one so unique! You can really see the thought and care put into their pieces. Love the humor as well!
