Inspiration: I remember as a child this being one of my favourite Christmas activites at school. I recently made some snowflakes to stick to my windows at home for Christmas and decided to laminate them first. I then showed my grade fours how to make a few snowflakes each for a Christmas mobile.
As we never have snow in Australia, snowflakes are a rather European Christmas decoration. I thought about making them from warm coloured paper so they were more like sunbursts but I love the simplicity of the white so much. I figure they might make everybody feel a little cooler in the coming weeks.
It's such a great idea to laminate those flakes and make a mobile of them!
ReplyDeleteOh - I love to see snowflakes in warm places!! We have plenty of snow here in Minnesota! Just had a huge snowstorm with some areas over two feet of snow!!! We also create snowflakes, but I have never used them in a mobile before, thanks for the idea!
